This place has been closed for sometime now which is a shame. It has changed ownership a couple of times in the last few years and that caused the problem. It was a popular eating place but luckily the cafe on the opposite side of the road, the converted old outdoor shop, seems to be the new eating place, same owner so perhaps Pete's Eats will never return.

This cafe is CLOSED. I understand it shut in 2022.
Afraid Google's reviews are out of date.
We ate at Pete's several times in September 2017 whilst visiting for a few days. Basic decor. Sensible prices, great service. Can be very busy. Speedy service assured. We'll be back on our next visit in May.
June 2023. Sadly Pete's is no more. Very sad to discover it's closed.

It used to be my 'go to' place for food whenever I was in Llanberis. Fantastic freshly cooked food and friendly staff. Unfortunately it's now closed

Party's long over. There are better cooked breakfasts and hearty meals for walkers, at other cafes/restaurants in town, at a better price too. It's no longer a refuge for hikers, climbers and otherwise outdoors enthusiasts, as evidenced by the fact that they now close from September till the next summer.
It's a great open space over two floors that could be utilised much better. Time for the owners to sell up and move on, so the space can be repurposed to better suit the needs of the community and local economy year round. Not just the needs of tourists over the Easter and summer holidays.

High expectations for this eatery yet our visit today was fruitless. Google mentioned ope yeslt according to locals site has been closed for a while. Their own website says closed for Winter.

We went here for breakfast and it was sublime! A great team with excellent service. Maybe not the cheapest breakfast you could find but there was plenty of very tasty food on everyone's plate - great value!

After hiking up Snowdon in the dark for the sunrise and then returning to Llanberis for breakfast in Pete's Eats was a perfect finish

This was once an institution for climbers and hikers, but I can no longer recommend it. The food was mediocre and overpriced and the service was bad. When they run out of a food item, they will still serve your dish minus this item and just not mention it in the hopes you won’t notice. I was also told they no longer sell the classic branded pint mugs (even though I could see a shelf full of them!)

Came here yesterday afternoon for a bite to eat before going on a walk around the quarry. Feel good food with I must say the most perfectly cooked egg I've ever seen. And I'd 100% come back just for that particular egg.
I'm not sure what the other reviews are saying that they take long, our food came extremely quickly, however I do believe that because of the location and the fact the food is so good, it is popular amongst walkers hence I assume it can get quite busy during the morning period. So if you do want something to eat quickly I would avoid the busy times. However if this doesn't bother you then any time would be just as good.
I will 100% be coming back on our next trip to Wales.

I used to visit this cafe when I was younger with my dad and grandad following a day of climbing. I went back today hoping for a nostalgic experience. Unfortunately I was hugely disappointed. I was part of a group and we all ordered large breakfasts. They all came out at completely different times with atleast 30 mins between the last two breakfasts being served. They also failed to mention when we ordered that there was no black pudding left and I actually requested extra black pudding for which I paid extra for. When the breakfasts were eventually served, they all came out without blackpudding. If they had told us at the time of ordering then this wouldn't have been an issue. When we raised the issue, there was no explanation or apology at all. They refused to give any level of refund and were extremely rude. The waiting staff were very unprofessional. They were receiving several different complaints from other people and all the staff were stood behind the till loudly slagging off customers. There was no level of care for the service provided at all. It definitely was not the chilled out, kind, welcoming experience that this cafe once offered. Very disappointing.

Absolutely avoid at all costs. Food no good and service and attitude from staff appalling....
There were no seats and we were told to ask another customer to share their table.
When ordering a large breakfast and asking to swap my black pudding for mushrooms, I was given an extra hash brown.
I told the staff and they said I don't remember you ordering that. To be then told that I couldn't have my mushrooms.... I should.be grateful I had an extra hash brown!!!
I've never in my life been spoken to in this way before.
I would rate no stars but sadly unable too!!!!!!!!

Changed what used to be a 5 star review, this place is long past its best and won't be visiting again. Overpriced, average food and drink, that's assuming you can order something as half the menu unavailable, including kids milkshakes (as they use too much milk I was told!)
Forced to sit outside at grubby tables as this walkers cafe doesn't allow dogs, inside didn't look much better though.

Great cafe! I really enjoyed the vegan breakfast, the vegan sausages were really nice. I wouldn't recommend the coffee but I'd definitely go back for tea and breakfast.
